Extended Learning Centers (ELC)
The Extended Learning Center (ELC) is a fee supported program operated by Lake County Schools and it does not discriminate in its enrollment on the basis of race, color, sex, religion, handicap or national origin. All ELC staff members are LCSB employees and are CPR/FA trained. Children in grades KG-5 (KG-8 Aurelia Cole & Lake Pointe Academy) and currently attending a District-Operated School are eligible to attend. (Students must be currently attending 1 of the 22 District-Operated Schools with an ELC program to be eligible to attend Summer Camp.)
The goal of the ELC program is to provide a safe and affordable before and after school care program, which offers developmentally appropriate activities under the supervision of responsible staff members who are trustworthy, caring and competent to understand and meet the needs of children.
